Join 7-time Emmy Award-winning, veteran video producer Mike Watson of Video Approach as he walks you through how to conceive, shoot, and edit compelling social media video using your smart phone. Mike has decades of experience developing dynamic videos for government agencies, including well-known cities and special districts. From news conferences to CEO messages, from street fairs to constituent interviews, learn how and when to use a microphone, what to do about lighting, how to edit, upload, live stream and more – and how you can do it all using tools you already have.

This session is aimed for new-to-video communicators and those who would like a refresher. What to bring to the workshop: A charged up smartphone and an external charger/battery. Registrants will receive additional details on apps needed closer to the event.
