Dr. Tammy McCoy-Arballo, Psy.D. is a California licensed clinical forensic psychologist (PSY28762). She is the first clinical director of Santa Clara County’s Trauma Recovery Center and leads its behavioral threat assessment team.
Dr. McCoy-Arballo’s work with Santa Clara County is an employee-centered effort focused on preventing, responding, and recovering from critical incidents and mass violence events. She has responded to numerous disasters and mass shooting incidents during her career
most recently the Eaton Fire in Altadena, CA, the Gilroy Garlic Festival shooting in 2019; the 2018 Pathway Homes shooting in Yountville, CA; the Route 91 Harvest Festival attack in Las Vegas in 2017, and the Dec. 2, 2015, terrorist attack in San Bernardino, CA. In 2018, she provided services over several days to sworn and civilian employees involved in the government response to the Camp Fire.
She sits on the board of directors for the Society of Police and Criminal Psychology and holds a Diplomate in Police and Public Safety Psychology. In her free time, she enjoys rooting for the N.Y. Jets, listening to disco music, watching cat videos and traveling with her husband.
