Known for her ability to juggle complex roles with humor and grace, Jennifer thrives in the “other duties as assigned” world of small-shop government. Whether crafting messaging in a crisis or translating policy into plain English, she’s a storyteller at heart — and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Amy Travis
Deputy Director Office of Emergency Services

Amy has worked in emergency services for the past eighteen years and currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Office of Emergency Services (OES) in Glenn County, California. In her role, she coordinates the full spectrum of emergency services for the County of Glenn. Additionally, she serves as the primary Public Information Officer (PIO) for the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, providing critical information to the media and the community for both law enforcement and emergency services sectors.
With a background in medical and health emergency management, Amy continues to serve as the Medical Health Operational Coordinator (MHOAC) for the county and is responsible for the coordination of public health and healthcare facilities during disasters.
Amy has a Bachelor of Science in Health Science Education from CSU, Chico, and holds certificates as an Emergency Management Specialist, a Type II Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Credential – Public Information Officer and a Type I EOC Credential – EOC Director.
