Kristi Jourdan, CPC-PIO is the Director of the Office of Communications & Media for Contra Costa County, where she leads countywide strategic communications, media relations, digital engagement, crisis communications, and government television. With more than 15 years of experience in journalism, local government, utilities, and the private sector, she is passionate about making government more accessible through clear, transparent communication. Kristi is a Certified Public Information Officer (CPC-PIO) and holds California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services Type II and Type III Public Information Officer credentials. As CAPIO’s Social Media Chair, she is committed to fostering member engagement, supporting professional growth, and helping communicators build meaningful connections across California.
