By Amy Williams, CAPIO’s Board President

Post

Dear CAPIO members,

Happy Holidays! It is hard to believe we are already wrapping up 2019. The holiday season came fast and furious with family and friend gatherings, community events, and constant work deadlines.

So before this special time passes by, I wanted to send a quick note to say THANK YOU for being part of the CAPIO community and for your tireless dedication to public service.  Your agencies are better with you and your communities are better served because of you!

I hope you all take the time to pause and reflect when you can about your year of accomplishments. I know you have many and so did CAPIO. A few CAPIO highlights from 2019 include:

  • Developed and unveiled a new brand
  • Created and launched a new website
  • Conducted another successful membership survey with spectacular satisfaction results (98%)
  • Cadre of new and expanded educational programs and online webinars

You are represented by a powerhouse Board that works towards supporting and growing communicators up and down this amazing state. It is an honor to represent you as the President of CAPIO, but a greater honor to call you peers.

I wish you health and joy in the coming year and look forward to seeing you at CAPIO’s annual conference in Santa Barbara!

Sincerely,

Amy Williams
Chief of Staff to the City Manager
City of Sacramento
CAPIO President
