Your CAPIO board chairs have been working hard to secure dates to tour your local news stations. Our central California members had the opportunity to tour ABC30 studios in Fresno over the last few weeks. One of the attendees said;

We had a great time touring the ABC30 studios. Aurora Diaz took us into the studio while they were broadcasting their midday show then went back into the control room to see the producer and directors in action. We wrapped up by getting to sit down with Sara Sandrik who is the Manager of News and Content. She was a reporter and anchor at ABC30 before leaving to become a PIO for the Merced School District and is now back with ABC30. It was great to chat with her since she has experience from both sides.

Upcoming tours for members include KTVU in Oakland and KEYT in Santa Barbara.  (Both are sold out – but be sure to keep an eye on our calendar for future opportunities!)
