Preparing for the 2022 Ad Restriction Period
Meta (Facebook) Training

As you may have heard, just this last month, Meta (Facebook) announced that we will prohibit new political, electoral and social issue ads during the final week of the election campaign.

As we did in 2020 – we are implementing a restriction period for ads about social issues, elections, or politics in the United States for the week leading up to General Election Day. This means that from 12:01 AM PT on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 through 11:59 PM PT on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, no new ads about social issues, elections, or politics can be published, and most edits will be prohibited.

In order to prepare partners for the restriction period, we are hosting two specialized training opportunities for California state and local government and political partners to learn about the “do’s and don’ts”. We will also share key timelines and best practices to help you avoid any unnecessary ad delays or disruptions.

During this training, you will have the opportunity to learn about the “do’s and don’ts” for the 2022 restriction period for ads about social issues, elections and politics in the United States. We will also share key timelines and best practices to help you avoid any unnecessary ad delays or disruptions.
