Dear Members and Friends,

This month it became apparent that while we have been planning to gather in May (some in-person, some virtual), it is unknown when we will be able to officially gather under the re-opening guidelines. While the Governor lifted the stay-at-home order, many agencies continue to have travel restrictions in place as well as restrictions on in-person gatherings.

As public communicators, we are on the frontlines of encouraging the public to keep gatherings to fewer than three households for safety based on state guidelines.  As representatives of our communities, we must lead by example and keep public perception front-and-center. In light of these considerations, CAPIO’s Board of Directors’ made a decision to work with the hotel to shift our dates for the 2021 conference to the fall.

While we find it difficult to once again provide new dates for the conference, the Board made the unanimous decision to host our 2021 conference from November 2- 5, 2021. Once the hotel block has officially been shifted to the November dates we will be able to provide a link to book your hotel.  We plan to offer select sessions virtually, the exact quantity of sessions yet to be determined.

Registrants and sponsors who carried over their registrations from the 2020 Conference will receive the first opportunity to book their hotel rooms.
