We’re excited to welcome Joe Little as the Keynote Speaker for the 2026 CAPIO Annual Conference in San Diego. Join us on Wednesday, May 13 at 12:15 p.m. as the award-winning journalist presents Memorable Storytelling during the luncheon following the CAPIO President’s Address.

A television news reporter with NBC 7 San Diego, Joe is known for his rare ability to shoot, write and edit his own stories, capturing powerful, visual narratives that range from global events to everyday moments.

Joe was one of the first reporters on the scene of the United Airlines Flight 93 crash on 9/11, an experience that shaped his approach to storytelling and is featured in Covering Catastrophe: Broadcast Journalists Report on 9/11.

Over the course of his career, Joe has earned 34 Emmy Awards and developed a nationally recognized training approach to help journalists refine their storytelling, reporting and on-air performance.

His work is grounded in a simple belief:
“If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it.”

Join us as Joe shares insights on storytelling, creativity and elevating your craft—live during the conference luncheon following the CAPIO President’s Address.
