CAPIO Members Invited to Enter National Video Awards at Member Rate
NATOA
CAPIO members now have an exciting opportunity to showcase their work on a national stage. The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) is offering CAPIO entrants the member rate for its annual Government Programming Awards (GPAs).
The GPAs are a long-standing national awards program recognizing excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local governments, public school districts and government-related agencies. Now in its 41st year, the program celebrates outstanding work across a wide range of categories, including public affairs, community events, documentary, public service, sports, performing arts and more.
For those familiar with the CAPIO STAR Awards, the GPAs offer a similar opportunity — but on a national level, allowing agencies to gain broader recognition and see how their work compares with peers across the country.
New this year, the GPAs have added a Water category, making it a great fit for CAPIO Water Districts.
NATOA is a national organization dedicated to supporting local government communications professionals through education, advocacy and networking. The GPAs are one of its signature programs, highlighting the important role of government programming in informing and engaging communities.
CAPIO members are encouraged to take advantage of the discounted entry rate and submit their work for national consideration. Please select “member” when entering and email Karen Anderson kanderson@natoa.org for payment help. You can also contact CAPIO STAR Awards Chair Suzanne Bartole Suzanne.bartole@sdcounty.ca.gov with questions.
