Newsletter > 2001
The CAPIO COMMUNICATOR was relaunched in 2009 as an electronic-only version to bring CAPIO members regular news and information about the organization.
Our goal is to keep members up-to-date on CAPIO events, workshops and conferences, as well as provide professional growth and development opportunities.
Send us your news! Do you want to share a communications strategy that worked for you, or a personal success story? To make this newsletter the best it can be, we need your help! We are looking for "how to" articles, case studies, lessons learned, success stories, professional development opportunities, job listings and more. Please contact CAPIO Secretary Andrea Suarez to submit an article. We'll find a home for it in the next edition of the CAPIO COMMUNICATOR.

CAPIO History Project
(286K)Do you know how CAPIO came to be? What its founders hoped to achieve by forming this association of public information officials? How it's grown and what has changed — both organizationally and in the profession — over the years? How, 30 years after CAPIO's founding, it has been sustained through these changes and remained a vibrant and effective voice for communications professionals throughout California? You'll find the answers to these questions and more in the first newsletter of the CAPIO History Project (as well as a description of the history project itself). Read on and be amazed!
